Freelancers Disbanding?

Makati (AP) -- After a disappointing 6th season, Filcosplay Freelancers Xp lost the Gold in the last match, having to settle for the Silver after a loss to the Pampanga Pandas. It seems that things have gone downhill from there as the starters have left the team for other prospects. Kyojin Domon, Chico Martinez, and Amuro Ray have signed with the Los Banos Devils while team stars Kero Chan and Sky Bear have moved in with the talented line-up of the Negros Slashers. Even Optimus Prime and Cho Kon It have moved to different teams, leaving the team all but decimated.

But, somehow, the team has bounced back and has somehow remained undefeated so far this season. The credit for this success lies mainly in the hands of last seasons' reserves who have stepped up in a big way. Lady Geist took over most of the scoring duties coupled with the firepower of Ichigo Mashimaro and Retsuya Aoyama.

Big trades have also provided greater firepower for the team. Erlou Maturan, last season's starter, was traded for two key players: Haro Chan, a 3-point specialist and Kon Chan, a huge defensive weapon. Noir Valentine from the Freelancers Classic and Leandro Gao were also two key acquisitions.

Although the Freelancers XP have been greatly diminished, it's still a force to be reckoned with. How it will size up to other opponents will have to be determined, but one thing's for sure, Freelancer's XP isn't going down without a fight!
