There appears to be some issues with the mid-season algo changes, but, on the whole the resulting improvements seems to have outweighed the cries of dissent. These changes have basically tweaked in a big way how the game is played and, although there is some concern about it, they seem to be favorable at the moment.
The big question, however, is whether the immortal server, coming soon to a server near you, will be up to par and if how the transition will be from the High School and the Senior Server.

An algorithm is introduced that tests whether a proposed elementary reaction can be realized within a specified number of cleavages and formations of covalent bonds. This is related to the problem of computing the minimum chemical distance of a given stoichiometry, but differs from it in important ways that are exploited in the algorithm design. One application of the algorithm is as a filter in MECHEM - a computer aid for the elucidation of reaction pathways.
