Makati (AP) -- The Filcosplay Freelancers Xp pulled off a much-needed victory over the Los Banos Devils that nearly got away from them in the last quarter. With one quarter remaining, Xp held a 13 point lead, but the Devils were far from finished. They pulled off a last-minute rally, capitalizing on the exhausted FC Xp stars Kero Chan and Sky Bear and, at one point, was ahead by 5 points with only two minutes remaining.
But, heroics came in from the bench in the unlikely form of Ichigo Mashimaro. With only seconds remaining, the Devil's Rod Munch scored an inside basket to seemingly put the game away, but Ichigo never gave up and eventually scored the game-winning basket with only 19 seconds remaining. It was Ichigo's only 2 points in the final quarter, but those points were cruicial in their victory over the Devils.
